 | Country Music Television, or CMT (see image) as it is usually called, is an American country music-oriented cable television network. Programming includes music videos, taped concerts, movies, biographies of country music stars, and reality programs. CMT is owned and operated by MTV Networks, a subsidiary of Viacom. The CMT Music Awards were established in 2002 as a fan-voted awards show for country music videos and television performances. The awards ceremony is held every April in Nashville, Tennessee. • Video of the Year CMT has announced further ticket opportunities for the sold-out 2008 CMT Music Awards to be held in Nashville on April 14.
