Saxophone Lesson #19: Flat Notes and Sharp Notes

F# or Gb saxophone notes B A G C D E FThe F# (or G-Flat) is a basic note used in the Bb key signature. It is done by holding down all of the fingers on your left hand and your middle finger on the right hand. The alternate fingering is to hold down all three left hand buttons as for a G natural and the first of the left hand side buttons with the little finger.
C# or Db saxophone notes B A G C D E FTo play the C# (or D-Flat), leave all of your fingers open. This note is frequently very sharp and hard to tune.
D# or Eb saxophone notes B A G C D E FThe D# (or E-Flat) appears in scales of the key of E. This is played by holding down all six of the left and right buttons and the first of the right hand lower keys with the little finger.
A# or Bb saxophone notes B A G C D E FThe A# (or B-Flat) is played by holding the top two left hand main keys as for an A natural and the lower of the right hand palm keys.
