Scouting for Girls (SFG) is a London-based UK pop band formed in 2005 by Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard. Their music encompasses a lighthearted pop style reflecting on childhood innocence and experiences.

The debut album from SFG was released on June 25, 2007. It is self-titled and has sold 300,000 copies as of January 2008, achieving platinum status. It reached number 1 in the UK on January 20, 2008. It contains the hit singles "She's So Lovely" and "Elvis Ain't Dead" as well as their song "It's Not About You", which was only released as a limited-copy EP in June 2007. The album had a two-week run as the UK Album Chart 'Number 1 album' on January 20, 2008 after taking over from Amy Macdonald's debut album This Is The Life. It was replaced on February 3, 2008 by another debut album, this time 19 by Adele.
